The mission of the Circuit Court’s Children’s Advocacy Rooms (CAR) is to spare children from exposure to the stressful, emotionally charged atmosphere of a courtroom by providing a safe and nurturing on-site environment where they may stay while their parents or guardians attend to their business with the court.
The Children’s Advocacy Rooms seek to ensure that every child is recognized as an individual whose gender, abilities, personal privacy, choice of activities, and cultural, ethnic and religious background are treated with dignity and respect.
Use of the rooms is free.
