Orders of protection are heard daily in the Domestic Violence courtroom 106.

Order of protection packets can be obtained in the Clerk’s Office, Room 136.  

Civil orders of protection in connection with a divorce are heard in the Domestic Relations Division courtroom 203.

COURT ADVOCATES
Court advocates are available to provide free assistance to people in seeking civil orders of protection.

Civil Courts Advocates Office of the Evanston North Shore

• Hours: Monday - Friday , 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

• Staffed by the Evanston YWCA
• Located in Room 218 of the Second Municipal District Skokie Courthouse

The Office of the Cook County State's Atttorney, located in Room 263, has victims' advocates who will work with petitioners on criminal orders of protection.
